Yes, I am Jenny Nye. This is my tumbr.

even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

Psalm 139:12 (via godzoned)

Wanna know the fucking truth? Nobody is fucking happy. Nobody has skin made from oil paint and sunlight. Nobody fucking understands this world. Fuck, nobody probably understands math as much as they claim. You’re here one day and the next you’re not. God? Religion? I’ve learned a lot more about the world by eating acid and swallowing pills. Tell me what your church has done for you? Tell me if you have holes in your mouth from speaking lies? Wanna know the fucking truth? Pity is just another word for pathetic. Drink beer and watch the sunrise from every rooftop. Take photographs naked. Take photographs kissing. Take photographs having sex. Stop making everything about sexuality. Wanna know the fucking truth? Nobody really gives a damn if you lost your virginity at fourteen or if you were the president in high school. Wanna know the fucking truth? There is no such thing as the right person. People leave. They change like ocean currents, they leave you with bruises in your calves. And you wanna know the fucking truth? You get better. You learn to love. You find God in between the cracks of a wall when you’re puking your limbs out. You wanna know the fucking truth? Go find it.

“Tell me what has your church done for you?”

G L A D L Y.

What has my church done for me? Everything. My church is my family. My church is behind me on everything. In my worst moments, my church is there supporting me and letting me know that all of them are there for me. Don’t get me wrong; it’s not always good stuff. Like a normal family, churches have issues. As human beings, we all do things that hurt each other but at the end of the day, we’re all there for each other. Church is 10,000% my favorite place to be. I LOVE my church.

“God?”

Y E S.

Oh, wow! What AMAZING things God has done in my life. I have heard and felt God in my life. God has honestly showed me that He is very present in my life and ALWAYS watching out for me. If you’d like to know how, you can hit my ask box.

“Religion?”

A B S O L U T E L Y.

First, I am not “religious”. I simply have a relationship with God. You don’t have to follow a set of rules to be a Christian. All you have to do is accept Christ into your life. Now, that doesn’t mean that your life will be 100% perfect from that moment on. Believe me, it will not be perfect at all. But I can tell you that it will be WAY better than a day without God. As I previously stated, you don’t have to follow rules to be a Christian. However, you DO have to live your life in such a way that reflects Christ. That doesn’t mean you won’t mess up. You will. Everyone messes up. I’m a prime example of messing up. God will forgive. That’s the beauty of His grace and mercy. No matter how many times you mess up, God will still love you. God just wants you to have a relationship with him. Simple as that.

Do NOT try to tear down my faith or my family. I WILL fight back. P. S. idc if I lose followers for this

Fictional characters do exist, not in our world of course, we’d be screwed if that ever happened. But in the world of our minds, they are the main population there. They bring colour and life to it, they are the little voices in your head telling you not to do something because it’ll end up bad.
People who don’t read and scoff at people who like reading, they will never have that. Their minds will be grey and boring, they’ll never know the pleasure and pain that it is to love someone so much, even though you can’t physically touch them.
So if anyone ever laughs at you for reading and being imaginative, pity them. Because they will grow old and boring, their lives will be sad and plain while yours will be full of the adventures you shared with the fictional characters in the books you love.
